He is survived by: his wife Joan Leith LaFever; his children, Mark Russell LaFever of Arlington, VA and Lynn Michelle LaFever (Anthony Carrillo) of Corpus Christi, TX; and his grandchildren, Hayden Matthew Pond of Boston, MA and Abigail Grace Pond of Corpus Christi, TX..
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Raleigh Memorial Park (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612).
