The memory of Ruth Dillard of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on July 13, 2025 at the age of 101, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper D. Tart and Eunice Bell West Tart; her husband Russell Lee Dillard, Sr.; her son Russell Lee Dillard, Jr.; her son-in-law Danny M. Cameron; and her siblings, Paul, Inez, Herbert, Geraldine, Earl, Mazie, Larry, Nellie and Judy.
She is survived by: her children, Merlene Dillard Cameron and Ronnie E. Dillard; her daughter-in-law Peggy N. Dillard; her brother J. D. Tart of White Marsh, MD.; and her grandchildren, Lee (Barbara), Lisa (Ricky), Tiffany (Chris), Heather and Michael (Taryn).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Ephesus Baptist Church (6767 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27606).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Samaritan's Purse, Hurricane Helene Relief, Texas Flash Flood Relief or a charity of your choice in Ruth's memory.
