He was predeceased by: his parent Thurlean Upchurch Stancil. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith Stancil; his children, Chris Stancil (Marsha) of Angier and Ginger Summer (Drew) of Willow Spring; his grandchildren, Samuel Stancil, Haylee Anderson, Riley Anderson, Abby Stancil, Naomi Stancil, Elizabeth Stancil and Luke Stancil; and his parent Thomas Judd Stancil. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
