With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Reid Rickman Sr. (Raleigh, North Carolina), who passed away on April 5, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Thomas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howell Reid Rickman, Jr. and Ruby Gordon Nanney; and his brother David Reid Rickman. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Rainey Rickman; his children, Thomas Reid Rickman, Jr. (Audra) and Lauren Rickman Leager (Travis); his grandchildren, Grace Hutchins Rickman, Bailey Reid Rickman, Weston Reid Leager and Ames Henry Leager; and his brother Robert Reid Rickman (June).
