He is survived by: his grandson Thomas Collins Thorne, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Thorne; his stepdaughter Shannon Smith (Pat); his granddaughter Jessica Smith; and his siblings, Oliver J. Thorne (Barbara), Jacqueline Allen (Bobby) and Bernetta Williams (Charles). He is also survived by nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
