She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Bryan Dickens Hernandez and Lawrence Casimiro Hernandez, Jr.; and her sister Gloria Hernandez Dabolt. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Lawther Graham Whitehead, III, Meredith of Wilmington, Neal Whitehead Goodwin and Bill of Raleigh; her niece Julie Dabolt Albritton; her nephews, Christopher Bryan Dabolt and Samuel Lawrence Dabolt; her brother-in-law Kirk Iron Dabolt; and her grandchildren, Graham Whitehead, Vance Whitehead, Virginia Goodwin, William Goodwin, Suiter Goodwin, Aida Jones and Carraway Bodford. She is also survived by her former husband, and many cousins.
