We announce the death of Toynbee Crews of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 66. Toynbee’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Crystal B. Crews; his children, Toynbee P. Crews, Jr., Tayia Rosita Crews and Keyana Flippin-Crews; his siblings, Joyce Crews Hodge (Charles), Hilda Crews McCullers and Claude E. Crews (Mary); his mother-in-law Susan Bryant; and his pet Beanie. He is also survived by five nephews; two nieces; great nieces and nephews; great-great niece and great-great nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William Toney's Funeral Home (216 E Barbee St, Zebulon, NC 27597). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Riley Hill Baptist Church (6101 Riley Hill Rd, Wendell, NC 27591).
