He is survived by: his son William Dewey Brown, Jr. (Angela) of Raleigh; his siblings, Revenda Ross of Riegelwood, NC and Oliver E. Brown of Durham; his girlfriend Elizabeth Hall of Cary; his grandchildren, Briana Long and William D. Brown, III (Will); and his daughter-in-law Deirdre Brown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lea Funeral Home (2500 Poole Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610). Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lea Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Poole Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Carvers Creek A. M. E. Zion Church Cemetery (210 Carvers Creek Church Rd, Council, NC 28434).
