He is survived by: his wife Karen Herndon McWilliams of Albemarle, NC.; his daughter Kinsey McWilliams Wennerstrom (Jim) of Durham; his grandchildren, Hannah, Eric and Georgia; his daughter Elizabeth McWilliams Kimzey (Bryan) of Houston; his grandchildren, Harris and Claire; his nephew John Harvey McWilliams, IV (Sarah) of Montgomery, AL; and his great-nieces, Anna and Alice.
