He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Spivey and Margie Spivey of Willow Spring, NC; his former wife Ruby Lewter Spivey; and his son William Lee Spivey. He is survived by: his wife Debra McCullough Spivey; his children, Jeff Spivey (Sue) and Jenny Shaw (Randy); his grandchildren, Lauren Daniels (Matt), Allyson Spivey, Derek Shaw (Brooke) and Dillon Shaw (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Faith Gregory (Josh), Lyla Daniels, Nick Daniels, Jacob Gribensk, Heidi Shaw, Penny Shaw, McKenzie Shaw and Bridget Shaw; his siblings, Mitchel Spivey, Glenn Spivey (Helen) and Bobbie Lou Rhodes; and his sisters-in-law, Lillie McCullough and Sherri Rowell (Ricky). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
