He is survived by: his wife Doretha Hodge Patterson; his siblings, Delores Patterson of Laurinburg, Wiley Holman of Staten Island, Kevin Holman of Staten Island, Virgil Holman of Staten Island, Jessie Patterson of Staten Island and Robin Patterson of Gastonia; his children, Big Crow Dawg Jr. Sharmel, Shaunetta Leggette (Shy-Boo), Brandon Washington, Malik Patterson, Shawt'a Miles, Moesha Miles, Alexander Page and Diamond Campbell; and his nieces and nephews, Tyquan Ellerbe, Antonio Ellerbe, Tykirah Ellerbe, Tyrieus Love and Tyeshia Love.
