She was predeceased by: her mother Freda Hedrick. She is survived by: her father Robert L. Franklin; her husband James Gapski; her son Zachary Lasley; her sister Robin Oakes (Daniel); her sibling's children, Lauren Ferguson (Chad), Caitlyn Deaton, Andrew Oakes and Ashton Deaton; and her siblings-in-law, Laura Deaton and Gregg Deaton.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to her husband James or son Zachary to help cover the expenses of Brenda's long medical care.
