He was predeceased by: his parents, James Speight and Sarah Hobson Speight; and his stepson John Owens. He is survived by: his wife Judy Speight; his children, Danny Owens of Ramseur, Kirby Owens (Tina) of Seagrove and Angel Jenkins (Ronnie) of Asheboro; and his siblings, Timmy Speight of Siler City, Danny Speight of Bennett, Ricky Speight of Asheboro, Ronnie Speight of Bennett, Annette Maness of Siler City and Sandy Puraze of Asheboro. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
