She was predeceased by: her former husband Junior Smith; and her siblings, Juanita Baxter Cox (Carl), Christine Williamson (J. E.), Dorothy Brown (C. W.), Charlie Herbert Baxter Jr. (Colon), James Baxter (Mildred), Donald Baxter and Lynn Rachel.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Olan Wright, Charlie Routh, Billy Joe Leonard, Lissa Smith (Martha), Willie Smith (Shirley), Bill Kivett (Helen), Jerry Kivett, Dorothy Allen (Curtis), Libby Wilborn (Bill), Katherine Brinkley (Howard) and Beatrice English (Eugene); her parents-in-law, Willie Thomas, Lucy Newcomb Smith, James W. and Gertrude Riggs Kivett; her husband Richard Kivett; her children, Diane Perry (Chip) of Silk Hope, John Douglas Smith (Shannon) of Staley and Ricky Kivett (Donna) of Staley; her grandchildren, Jamie Allred, Casey Roach, Clyde Reid "Chip" Perry III, Bryson Kivett and Candice Ferguson; her great grandchildren, Colton Perry, Jack Roach, Charlie Roach and Mattilyn Ingram; her siblings, Myrldeen Wright of Ramseur, Eva Brown (Raymond) of Ramseur, Rosina Routh of Farmer, Jeannette Williamson of Asheboro and Harold Baxter (Ruby) of Asheboro; and her siblings-in-law, Judy White Kivett of Staley, Glenda Leonard of Bennett, Edna Woods, Linda Pierce of Asheboro, Jerry Smith of Pittsboro and Ray Smith (Audrey) of Asheboro.
