He is survived by: his children, Michael Cox, Jr. (Michelle Adams) of Climax and Michelle Luther (Randy Julian) of Manteo, NC; his grandchildren, Braxton Luther (Bri), Emma Caviness (Ethan) and Savannah Cox; his wife Betty Davis Cox; his siblings, Gary Cox (Judy) and Sarah King (Charles); and his sister-in-law Martha Scott (Gary). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
