He was predeceased by: his wife Ada Moffitt Cox; his son Christopher R. Cox; his daughter-in-law Jamey Crabtree Cox; his parents, Ralph Cox and Nannie Pope Cox; and his siblings, Mildred Lutterloh, Wincey Stanley, Worth Cox and Dean Cox.
He is survived by: his son Steve Cox of Aberdeen; his daughter-in-law Julie Strickland Cox of Portland, OR; his brother Gregg Cox (Betty) of Ramseur; his grandchildren, Alicia Blake (Dylan) of Nashville, TN and Stephen K. Cox (McLean) of Seven Lakes; and his great grandchildren, Collyer Cox and Rowan Cox.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the Parks Crossroads Christian Church (2057 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
