He is survived by: his parents, William Ray Burgess and Paula Waynette Phillips Burgess; his daughter Alaina Burgess; his siblings, William Michael Burgess and Shauna Burgess Hazelwood (Josh); his grandparents, William Randy Burgess, Carol Lynn Burgess and Michael James Phillips (Brenda Hussey); and his uncles, Michael Todd Burgess (Jill) and Jason Phillips (Lisa). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harvest House Chapel (6282 Old Siler City Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316).
