She was predeceased by: her parents, G. Vance Steed and Bessie Angela Spencer Steed. She is survived by: her husband Gary Lee Whitaker of Randleman; her sister Renee Porter (Forrest) of Washington Courthouse; her children, Chad Whitaker (Angela) of Archdale, Michelle Pearl (Tim) of Randleman and Amy Whitaker (Andy) of Livingston, Montana.; and her grandsons, Cameron Cheek and Tyson Beck (Bethany) of Randleman.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Whitaker Family Cemetery (1184 Steed Rd, Randleman, NC 27317).
