He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Powell Poole; his parents, Clifford Poole and Virginia Hutson Poole; and his siblings, Debra Honea, Loretta Poole, David Poole, Charles Poole and Marshall Presnell.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Poole of Randleman, Anthony Bennett (Kelly) of Asheboro and Kim Combs of Midway; his sisters, Judith "Skipper" Newby (Bill) of Randleman and Hilda Latham of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Anna-Kaye Poole, Jensen Poole, Kaya Butler, Dakota Combs, Cody Bennett (Megan), Tyler Bennett, Gracie Bennett and Dustin Bennett; and his caregivers, Lauren Williams and Melinda Allred. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3:45 PM at 2383 Country Ln, Asheboro, NC 27205. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203).
