He is survived by: his son Luther Ray Smith (Jennifer) of Star; his sisters, Barbara McNeill (George) of Asheboro, Alma Bulla of Asheboro, Garnetta Hall of Asheboro, Alice Potts (Tommy) of Asheboro, Cheryl Redding (Steve) of Asheboro and Bernice Caudill of Winston Salem; and his grandchildren, Mikey, Austin, Ray, Sarenity, Levi and Maverick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service (620 Albemarle Rd, Troy, NC 27371). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel (620 Albemarle Rd, Troy, NC 27371). A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Of Abner Cemetery (905 Abner Rd, Troy, NC 27371).
