He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ginny, Dolly, Ronnie, Chris and Keith; his parents, Alec Herald and Marie Herald; his son-in-law Bob Parlett; his uncle Sonny; his cousins, Jimmy, Bobby, Donald, Allen and Roger; and his niece Re Hutzell.

He is survived by: his wife Margie Herald; his daughters, Robyn Herald Parlett and Mary Herald (Nick Peak); his grandchildren, Kaylee Herald (Josh Bowers), Wesley, Willow and Wrenly; his brother Tommy Herald (Pam Herald); his siblings-in-law, Shelia Herald, Tammy Herald, Brenda Herald, Linda Reedy (Donald Reedy), Mary Lowe, Kathy Horne, Cheryl Horne, Irvin Corbin and Henry Horne (Judy Horne); his uncle Clarence Brown; and his aunts, Patricia Lane (Lee Lane), Carol Brown, Betty Teachey and Janice Noel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
