She was predeceased by : her parents, Joel Benjamin and Betty Griffin Ludlum; her husband William Albert Spencer; and her siblings, Louis C. Ludlum and Patricia Ann Ludlum Henson.

She is survived by : her children, Thomas B. Spencer and Veronica Michelle Spencer; her grandsons, Tyler B. Spencer (Charlie Griffin), Joel L. Spencer (Savannah Barnum) and Jarod Dill; and her great grandchild Stella Jean Spencer.
