The passing of Michael Wayne West of Randleman, North Carolina, born in Bennettsville, South Carolina leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Penfield and Cecil Mae Hardee West; and his siblings, Lee Pulp, Elderage, Charles and James West.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kay Fagg West; his children, Melissa Kinton of Asheboro, Deanna Payne (David) of Asheboro, Kim Newman (Roland) of Belews Creek and James West of Randleman; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Alivia, Miranda, Jacob, Bryan and Andrew. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home Chapel (147 Coleridge Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316).
