He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Davis and Verna Jenkins Benge; his wife Evelle Blevins Benge; his son Steve; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Benge; and his siblings-in-law, Gwen Parker, Wanda Purvis, Shirley Hannah and Daryl Testerman.
He is survived by: his son Douglas Benge (Kari Lynn) of Lexington; his siblings, Dave Benge (Brenda) of Fredericksburg, VA and Cora Lee Testerman of Independence, VA; and his sister-in-law Carol Bell (Robert) of Hays. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
