He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Luck Hoover; his parents, Wade Hoover and Ina Hoover; and his siblings, Tommy Hoover, Bonnie Barfield and Cathy Robbins.
He is survived by: his siblings, David Hoover (Rhonda) and Judy Hamilton (Greg) of Asheboro; his stepdaughters, Sheryl Pugh (Tom), Tonya Cain and Rhonda Allred (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Shay Coble (Greensboro), Aaron Cain of Martinsville, VA, Taylor Ingold (Level Cross), Stormy Jones (Level Cross), Joshua Pugh (Jeff Costa), Jordan Pugh (Felicia), Sara Johnson (Kenneth) and Amanda Allred; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Mason, Remi Johnson, Zeva Pugh, Jasper Pugh, Hollis, Grayson, Brantley, Keegan, Titus and Asher.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
