She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert A. Polston and Willie Polston; her son Michael Smith; her siblings, Betty Oldham and Gene Polston; and her sisters-in-law, Sandra Benton, Margie Miller and Mable Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Smith; her granddaughter Monica Smith; her great grandchild Arielle Smith; her siblings, Lib Floyd (Billy) of Wallace, Jackie Howard (Bobby) of Dothan and Grady Polston (Sue) of Raeford; and her close friend Susan Creech of Raeford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
