He was predeceased by: his father Gideon Cummings; and his siblings, Cora Ann Locklear, Jerry Ray Cummings, Marie Cummings Hunt, Herman Cummings, Waymon Cummings, Glenn Cummings, Susie Jane Cummings and Louise Cummings Ransom.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Locklear; his children, Jordan Lowery, Bethany Locklear and Samuel Locklear; his grandchildren, Brayston Strong, Brayleigh Strong and Mom Cora Lee Locklear; his siblings, Tracy Locklear, Chancy Locklear and Lucille Cummings Jacobs; and his nephews, Donovan Locklear, Warren Locklear and Austin Locklear.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Elim Baptist Church (921 Wilson Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
