He is survived by: his daughter Kacy Smith; his siblings, Gennie Mae Williams of Newark, NJ, Grantham Lee (Leigh Ann) of Red Springs, Jimmy (Patricia) of Hallsboro, Charles, Clyde (Margie) of Red Springs, Clarence (Shawn) and Marvin (Barbara) of Raeford, NC.; his siblings-in-law, Janice McNeill of Red Springs, Betty McNeill of Raeford, Catherine McBride of Laurinburg, Annie Shannon of Laurinburg, Harrison Shannon (Sandra) of Durham, William Shannon (Julia) of Laurel Hill and James Shannon (Ruby) of Aberdeen; his uncle Charles Campbell of Washington, DC; his close friend Jesse Harris of Raeford, NC; and his niece Tonia McPhatter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church (511 Center Grove Church Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
