It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Locklear of Red Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Oxendine and Tressie Lowery Oxendine; her husband Ferman Locklear; and her sons, Tony Locklear, Stoney Locklear and Herman Locklear.
She is survived by: her children, Ferman Locklear Jr., Lisa Locklear of Red Springs, Barbara Locklear of Red Springs and Janice Chavis of Rennert; and her siblings, Clyde Oxendine of Red Springs, Carl Oxendine of Shannon, Betty Bullard of Elizabethtown, Trudy Locklear of Maxton and Dorothy Boone of Red Springs. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
