He is survived by: his wife Joyce Dial Slate; his children, Ralph Slate (Priscilla) of Red Springs and Belinda Williamson of Red Springs; his siblings, Mike Slate of Red Springs, Elonora Locklear of Pembroke and Wanda Ellis of Red Springs; and his grandchildren, Aron, Alisha, Ramoni, Kota, Ronnie Jr. and Rayon. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
