He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Barton and Clara Barton; the mother of his children Tonyua Barton; and his siblings, Betty Collins, Ronald "Squealer" Barton, John Henry "Pa" Barton and John Jeremy Barton.
He is survived by: his daughter Brandy Jones; his sons-in-law, Elijah Jones (Cheyanne Craven) and Cody Craven; his grandchildren, Liam Josiah Guyton, Nacaden Earl Craven, Titus Lee Craven, Elan Wyatt Craven and Ava Noel Craven; his siblings, Carolyn Ann Barton, Linda Clark, Diane Locklear, Barbara Locklear and Charles Barton; and his close friend Michael Morgan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (812 S Main St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
