She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Harden and Myrtie Harden; her husband Eddie Lee Smith; and her siblings, Benny Paul Harden, Sr., Marvin Harden and Ruby Shelton.
She is survived by: her children, Sheena Smith Straughan of Reidsville and Jeffrey L. "Jeff" Smith (Elizabeth) of Hoschton, GA; her brothers, William Boyd Harden, MD (Rebecca) of Wilmington and Larry Harden (Carleen) of Greensboro; and her grandchildren, Brandon Reavis, Adam Smith (Whitney), Taylor Self (Tyler) and Collin Smith.
