She was predeceased by: her parents, Willy "Bill" Hopkins and Vesta Shelton Hopkins; her significant other Ralph "Ham" Roach; her brothers, Elroy, Leroy and Willie "Cheese" Hopkins; her niece Teresa Hopkins Joyner; and her great-nephews, Chuck, Chris McMichael and Jeffery Stafford.
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl, Dale Gusler, Wayne Knight and Virginia Martin; her stepsons, David (Dale) of Eden, Jamie (Shelby) of Eden and Matt Roach of Eden; her grandchildren, Josh, Mandy Gusler, Brandon, Katie Roach, Brianna Roach and Ben Roach; her great grandchild Faithlynn Gusler; her nieces, Lora McMichael (Jerry) and Sheila Gordon; and her close friends, Jan Sexton, Tanya Harris, Mike and Peggy Beard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home Chapel (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
