He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton Willis and Martha Elliott Willis; his former wife Alice "Faye" Gosney Willis; and his sister Janice Diane "Dinky" Willis Raymond. He is survived by: his wife Sandra English Chilton Willis; his children, William Daniel "Dan" Willis (Janice) of Clarksville, TN, Donald Andrew Willis (Regina) of Newton, NC, Rebecca Faye Willis Smith (Hu) of Big Canoe, GA and Melanie Ruth Willis (Will) of Reidsville, NC; his siblings, Nettie Brosseau of Greenville, NC, Joy Tracy (Gene) of Blanch, NC, Rachel Ribelin (Willard) of Yanceyville, NC and Bobby Willis (Merry) of Reidsville; and his stepchildren, Christina Dunahoo (Victor), Beverly Myers (Darrell) and Tim Chilton (Holly). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 3050 Old NC Highway 86, Yanceyville, NC. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
