He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin and Lena Virginia Brooks Walker; his wife Perdita Saunders Walker; and his brothers, Robert Lee Walker and Dr. J. William Walker.

He is survived by: his children, Lindsay W. Clinard (Chris) of Reidsville and Charles Eric Walker (Kim) of Nashville, TN; his sister Ellen W. Citty of Reidsville; and his grandsons, Ian Walker, Everett Harrison, Lucas Harrison, Zachary Harrison and Nicholas Clinard. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
