He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Clay Daniels Walker and Edgar Franklin Walker. He is survived by: his sons, Dan Walker, Jr. of Liberty and Bill Walker (Linda) of Siler City; his grandchildren, Ryan Walker, Lucas Walker of Greensboro, Anya Walker of Sanford and Ross Walker of Raleigh; his siblings' children, Ed Walker, Monty Long and Linda Carpenter; his siblings, Louise Jennings, Winona Walker, Leora Shelton, Mary Walker, Carolyn Walker, Frank Walker and Hope Carpenter; and his son Alan Walker. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel (1603 Wilborn Ave, South Boston, VA 24592).
