He is survived by: his girlfriend Betty Higgs; his children, Scott Whitten (Hope Hornbuckle) and Wendi Louise Whitten; his sisters, Pam, Sue and Monica; and his grandchildren, Michael Brian Whitten and Brianna Nichole Whitten.
