He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, Talmadge Woods and Viola Woods; his sisters, Margaret Swaim and Brenda Canady; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Taylor, Donnie Minnicks and Bob Swaim.
He is survived by: his wife Janice S. King; his daughter Joy K. Smith; his grandchildren, Matthew Watlington (Amanda) and Jessica S. Turley (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Paisley Marie Watlington and Adaline Rose Turley; and his sister Frances Minnick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
