She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lee and Leona Moorefield Clayton; her husband Gordon Lawrence Somers; her grandson Tracy Wayne Somers; and her siblings, Elwood Clayton, Julius Lee Clayton, Ercell C. Satterfield, Geneva C. Williamson and Leona C. Cobb.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Gordon Somers (Mary Lynn) of Reidsville, Danny George Somers (Maggie) of Reidsville and June Somers Pape of Reidsville; and her grandchildren, Penny Marie Somers Mora, Lawrence Bowen Somers (Deborah), Ricky Lee Somers, Clayton Dowd Somers (Kristen), Reagan Pape (Allison MacCumbee), Joel Pape and Kiah Gaskin (Jason). She is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
