He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Russell, Sr. and Nannie Fuller Russell; his wife Lelia Rhumineer Fryar Russell; and his siblings, Clyde Russell, Jr., Gaddis Russell, James Melvin Russell, Hattie Russell, Adell Russell Howard, Raven Russell Byers and Maxine Russell Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Daphne Johnson, Rico Johnson and Carlton Russell; his grandson Myles Carlton Russell; and his siblings, Macie Russell Flythe, Magaline Russell Anthony and Bennie Russell.
