He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph McCollum and Annie Belle Wilson McCollum; and his children, Breck Lane McCollum and Sloane McCollum Foster. He is survived by: his wife Gilda McKinney McCollum; his children, Dr. Eric McCollum (Debbie) and Christie Miller Bates of Cary; and his grandchildren, Lindsey Bates, Mason Foster, Alexander Bates and Dillon Foster.
