He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Cox and George Vaughn, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Carver Vaughn; his children, Monica Vaughn Harris (Jamie), Matt Vaughn (Debra) and Maria Vaughn Cagle (Chris); his grandchildren, Rebecca Harris Carter (Jamie), Meredith Harris Pezzoni (Hayden) and James; his great grandchildren, Kara Chappell Pezzoni and Eliza Ruth Pezzoni; and his siblings, David M. Vaughn and Faye V. Barham. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Church or the Rockingham County Meals on Wheels program.
