She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Jones and Louise Jones; and her daughter Lindsay Katharine Apple (Bernard Jones). She is survived by: her husband William F. Simpson, Sr.; her daughter Mara Apple O'Neil (William); her grandchildren, Avery, Ella and Thomas O'Neil; her siblings, Margaret Jones Apple (Mike) of Reidsville, Dena Jones West (Lee) of Reidsville and Jon Jones (Judy Shelton Jones) of Reidsville; the father of her children Willis W. "Bill" Apple (Susan Rogers Apple) of Kernersville; and her stepson William F. Simpson, Jr.. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews, five great-nieces and great-nephews, and her first husband.
