She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Strider and Viola Ferguson Strider; her brother Wayne; and her sister-in-law Bobbie Bailey Strider. She is survived by: her son David A. Vernon, Jr. of McLeansville; her brothers, Mark Strider (Heather) of Reidsville, David A. Vernon, Sr. of Reidsville and Dwayne Ore of Kernersville; her nephew Keith Strider (Cynthia) of Randleman; her niece Kelley Pegelow (Justin) of Greensboro; and her cousins, Dianne Barber (Wayne) and Linda Glaspie (Mike) of Reidsville. She is also survived by many other cousins, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
