He was predeceased by: his parents, Hardin Cockman and Mary Victoria Hazelwood Cockman; and his sisters, Ivis Apple, Corrine Hipps, Edith Jirousek, Kay Levan and Audry Cockman.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Harrell Cockman; his daughters, Victoria Cockman and Kelly Howerton (Roy) of Madison; and his grandchildren, Timothy Howerton, John Caleb Howerton and Kassie Belle Howerton.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Midway United Methodist Church (10930 US-158, Reidsville, NC 27320).
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
