She was predeceased by: her husband Leon Flythe; her parents, Joseph Washington Dawson and Betty McLamb Dawson; her daughter Julia Ann Flythe; and her siblings, Dumas Dawson, Mafalda Aman, Joe Mac Dawson, Norvell Dawson, Norma Garris, Signey Dawson, Anne Rouse and Mary Dawson.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Boone (Otis) of Milwaukee, Joseph Flythe (Wanda) of Milwaukee, Cathy Hatcher (James) of Milwaukee, Michael Flythe (Tina) of Milwaukee and Blake Flythe (Melinda) of Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Lee (Courtney), Justin (Anna), Angela (Jay), Alyssa, Ashley (John) and Camren (Dustin); her great grandchildren, Dylan, Isaac, Isabel, Colton, Reagan and Lainey; her sister-in-law Kay Flythe; and her caregiver Jennifer Peele. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Rich Square Chapel (116 Short St, Rich Square, NC 27869). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Methodist Church (205 Zion Church Rd, Conway, NC 27820). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Milwaukee Cemetery.
