He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vanhoy and Lillie H. Vanhoy; his brothers, Lane Vanhoy (Betty), Tom Vanhoy (Donna Kaye) and Jerry Vanhoy; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Vanhoy and Lee Roy Plowman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Plowman Stroupe, Sherrill Vanhoy, Lynn Vanhoy (Kelly) and Reggie Vanhoy (Connie). He is also survived by three sister-in-laws, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Creek Primitive Baptist Church in care of Howard Isenhour, 44097 Ridenhour Road., Gold Hill, NC 28071.
