He was predeceased by: his parents, Jodie Edward Kirk and Bertha Drye Kirk; his former wife Billie Faye Ridenhour Kirk; and his siblings, Lucille Hamilton, Exie Wilson, Katherine Burris, Charlie Kirk and Lewis Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Miller Kirk; his children, Karen Culp (Trent), Ryan Kirk (Sally) and Kristopher Kirk (Lily); and his grandson Emery Culp (Jenny).
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the New Bethel Lutheran Church (21746 Rogers Rd, Richfield, NC 28137).
