We announce the death of Clarence Ray Humphrey of Richlands, North Carolina, who passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 95. Clarence will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his former wife Minnie Lee Jarman Humphrey; his wife Shelby Cox; his daughter Leanne Humphrey; his stepdaughter Brenda Faye Waters; and his siblings, Robert Henry Humphrey, Alice Marie Humphrey, Pauline Faye Humphrey and Betty Catherine Humphrey.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Marsha Waters Mattocks (Boyd) of Clinton and Ben Cox; and his sister Margie Fowler of Wilmington. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
