It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy David Byrd of Richlands, North Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 17, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Judy Thompson and Tony Thompson. He is survived by: his parents, Denise Myers and Amiel Myers of Richlands; his siblings, Sean Andrew Myers (Tristen) of Greenville, Seth Eli Myers of Jacksonville and Tiffany Abigail Myers of Jacksonville; his half-brothers, Maddox of Greenville, SC and Ryker Thompson of Greenville, SC; his grandparents, Ryan, Onagh Myers of Jacksonville, Terry, Patricia Piner-Pratt of Cedar Point and George Byrd of Cape Carteret; his aunts and uncles, Jessica (Paul Buchanan), Brittany Byrd (Patterson Swain), Aaron (Jill Myers) and Frederick Reinhardt of Spartanburg, SC; his cousin Christian Moreira; and his close friends, Isiah Rodriquez, Jerry Bradshaw, Julius Curtiss, Bradley Ruse, Elena Young, Dylan Smith, Arana Jones "Jaiden", David Jones and Landon McDonald.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Swansboro Saturday (407 Old Hammock Rd, Swansboro, NC 28584). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
